Uncle Jimmy loved the beach,his friends and family and to ski. He was only married once to Johanna "Tootsie" Dugan. On Columbus Day weekend in 1959 he and his friend had been drinking and were involved in a car accident. He survived a few weeks being cared for by his wife Tootsie and his mother, Ida. Then he died from his injuries on Nov.1st 1959. He and Tootsie never had any children.As of this date, Toostie is is her eighties, never had any children or ever remarried-she lives in NY on the same property that she and Jimmy bought before he died. Jimmy won many awards/medals while serving in WWII which includes a purple heart and a bronze star medal. At the bottom of his headstone says BSM-(bronze star medal).
