KENNETH LEE FUNDERBURG

A graveside service for Kenneth Lee Funderburg, 74, of Sweetwater will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, May 13, 2008, at Garden of Memories Cemetery with Rev. Jerry Payne officiating. The service will be directed by McCoy Funeral Home of Sweetwater.

Mr. Funderburg died on Saturday, May 10, 2008, at his residence. He was born Dec. 31, 1933 in Eskota.
He was married to Bonnie Parvin on June 17, 1960, in Franklin, La.

Mr. Funderburg was a contractor and owned Sweetwater Dozer and Backhoe Service from 1976 to 1992. He had lived in Sweetwater since 1944 and in Longworth before. He was Baptist. He was a Korean War veteran and a member of the Sweetwater Elks Lodge.

Survivors include his wife, Bonnie Funderburg of Sweetwater; one son, Rocky Funderburg and wife Sonja of Sweetwater; one daughter, LaVynda Montgomery and husband Murl of Sweetwater; three brothers, Don Funderburg and wife Betty of Lake Sweetwater, Earl Funderburg and wife Lillie of Colorado City and Roland Funderburg and wife Christine of Fort Phantom Lake; seven grandchildren, Kim, Guy, Maverick, Quade, Marti, Amber and Grant; and four great-grandchildren, Kalei, Gunner, Kyler and Emily.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James E. and Anna Funderburg; and a brother, Junior Funderburg, in 2008.
