Melvyn Bell, 68, of Little Rock, Arkansas passed away Saturday, July 8, 2006 in Little Rock, Arkansas after a long battle with cancer. He was CEO for ENSCO, and a partner of Bell, Burrough, Brasuell, and Uerling. He was a graduate of the University of Arkansas School of Engineering; where he was a very generous financial contributor and also was a financial donor to the UAMS cancer research center.

There will be a private family service at a later date, the body was cremated under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home in Fort Smith, Arkansas.

He is survived by his son: Eric Bell and his wife Deborah, their daughter Erin Bell of Little Rock, Arkansas; his daughter Megyn Bell of Fayetteville, step-sister: Hazel Bell of Little Rock, Arkansas; and several cousins.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to The University of Arkansas Cancer Research, or the scholarship fund at the University of Arkansas school of Engineering.
