Captain 306 Sanitary Train Camp Sevier, S.C. -- 0bit --- " Dr. George Hebert Newton--Dr. Newton was born 54 years ago, the son of Henry and Mary (Cammett) Newton. He was educated at Peoples Academy in Morrisville and at the medical department of the University of Vermont. He practiced at East Hardwick and Cambridge before coming to Waterbury two years ago. He was at Cambridge 25years. He was a member of Warner Lodge, No. 50, F. A. and M. at Jeffersonville and of Waterbury Chapter, R.A. of Mount Calvary Commandary of Middlebury and of Mount Sinai Temple of Nobles of the Mystic Shrine at Montpelier. During this summer Dr. Newton was one of those from Vermont who attended The Shriners' convention in Los Angeles. Dr. Newton was married 30 years ago to Alice Keith of Hardwick, who survives him together with three children as follows: Mrs. Buell Brewster of Cambridge, Miss Marjorie Newton a teacher, and Kenneth Newton a student at the University of Vermont, one grand child , also one brother Frank residing in Lowell, Mass.
