Ronald L Bezet, a man of many accomplishments and a beloved member of his family, passed away on November 5, 2023, at Opelousas General Health System. He was born on February 1, 1941, in Cecilia, Louisiana. Ronald will be deeply missed by his loved ones, but his memory will forever live on in their hearts.

Ronald had an impressive career that spanned various fields. He worked for the FBI and NASA, showcasing his intelligence and dedication. Additionally, he was a skilled pilot. As an entrepreneur, Ronald owned and operated several successful businesses.

Education played an important role in Ronald's life. He attended college for three years, demonstrating his commitment to personal growth and knowledge acquisition.

One of Ronald's greatest joys in life was spending time with his family. He adored his wife Gloria Bezet and cherished their moments together. Ronald was a loving father to Joshua Bezet, Lisa Bezet Berry, Kimberly Woods and her husband Andrew. His warm embrace extended to his brothers Harold "Butch" J. Bezet Jr., and Dewey "Rocky" Lance Bezet.

Ronald's role as a grandfather brought him immense happiness. He had a special bond with his grandchildren, Doss Berry, Kathleen Berry, Aubrey Bezet and Ronan Leander Woods (soon to be a fourth grandchild). He is also survived by his great-grandchildren, Laiklyn Berry, Henry Mahan and another great-grandchild on the way and also his step-grandchildren, Evie Woods and Xander Woods.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Harold J. Bezet and Ida Mae Guidry and his brother, Reginald Bezet.

In addition to cherishing family moments, Ronald had various hobbies and interests that brought him fulfillment. He enjoyed watching LSU Football passionately cheering for his favorite team. Ronald found solace in baking, a creative outlet that brought smiles to the faces of his loved ones. Additionally, he took pleasure in playing on his computer, exploring new technologies and indulging in the world of technology.

To honor Ronald's life and pay respects to his memory, visitation will be held at Skip Montet Chapel at Lafond-Ardoin Funeral Home of Opelousas on Wednesday, November 8, 2023, from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM. For those who would like to join and celebrate Ronald's life, a Rosary will be held at the same location from 6:00 PM to 6:30 PM. The funeral home will re-open on Thursday, November 9, 2023, from 8:00 AM until 1:30 PM.

On November 9, 2023, a Mass will take place at St. Landry Catholic Church at 2:00 PM. Reverend Neil Pettit will celebrate the Mass. Following the Mass, a Rite of Committal and Burial will take place at Bellevue Memorial Park Cemetery in Opelousas.
