Georgia Death Certificate: A farmer, he died at Dover, in the 35th District of Screven County, at age 68 years. His widow was Alice V. ANDERSON (daughter of Paul B. ANDERSON & Sarah L. MORGAN); their son (a twin, born in 1879, named for his maternal grandfather), Paul BEST of Ogeechee, was the informant for his death certificate which was filed in Screven County. A second death certificate was filed in the 1209th District of Bulloch County by their son Henry BEST (the other twin, who was named for his paternal grandfather).
His burial was preceded by that of the couple's three infants, Bonnie and Jeffrie in 1897, and Bruce in 1900, and by the burial of their oldest child, Queenie Jerusha BEST LEE in 1918.

The two concrete slabs adjacent to the graves of the three BEST infants in the rear of the cemetery are likely the graves of Robert Johnson BEST and his wife, Alice V. ANDERSON.
