Wardie was the daughter of Obed and Mary Ellen Henderson Bonham. Paternal grandparents were James and Jane Norris Bonham. Maternal grandparents were John Quency and Minerva Jane Deal Henderson.

She moved with her family from North Carolina to Wayne County, Ga., then to Tattnall County, Ga., where she met and married John William Bethune in 1910.

I remember her as being a very nice, friendly lady, that loved the Lord and her family.
