Rosa moved with her new husband Silas Hobbs Jr. to Texas where a large portion of the Dennis family had relocated in 1891. Shortly after their arrival in Texas, she gave birth to Clarence, two other children followed shortly. When Rosa died in 1898 at the age of 23, she left behind three small children; Clarence age 6, Walter age 4 and little Lillie was just 2 years old.
