James is the son of James Jack Cheechov, Sr. (1902-1984) and Nellie John Treguboff (1904-1999). He is one of six children: George, Pearl, John, Jack, James, and Shirley.

He married Nancy Gonzales about 1959 and had two known children: Linda and James.

James J. Cheechov

James J Cheechov, 49, a lifelong resident of the Vacaville area, died Sunday in a local area hospital after having suffered an apparent heart attack.
He was a graduate of Vacaville High School.
He was a district manager with the U.S. Department of Agriculture at the University of CA, Davis. He had formerly worked with the Agricultural Stabilization and Conservation County Committee of Solano County, which is a federal program.
Surviving are his daughter, Linda; one son, James, his parents, Mr. and Mrs. James Cheechov, all of Vacaville; two sisters, Pearl Rourke of Sacramento and Shirley Rominoff of Bakersfield; and two brothers, Jack and John, both of Vacaville.
Funeral services were held today at the McCune Garden Chapel and burial was in the Vacaville-Elmira cemetery.
