Sophia Eliza Borie was the child of John Joseph Borie 1776-1834, a wealthy French shipping merchant and Sophia Beauveau 1789-1876, a Haitian Plantation owners daughter. Sophie married Wm. Henry Charles Bohlen on April 27, 1858 in Holland. This was his second marriage as Sophie's sister Emily Maria was his first wife and she died in 1851. After her husbands death Sophie continued to live at 1523 Pine St, Philadelphia. Sophie was buried with her husband in the Bohlen Family Vault at St John's Church and they were reinterred at Laurel Hill in July 1924.
