Henry J. Dunn Passes Away; Rites Set


One of California's noted cattlemen, Henry J. Dunn, 80, passed away at his home, 801 West Laurel drive, yesterday afternoon following a heart attack, For the last five years, Mr. Dunn had been affiliated with the E. E. Harden company and for many years was a judge for the California Rodeo at Salinas.


He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Ruth Dunn of the family home and a sister, Mrs. Kate Boling of Mobile, Ala.


For many years, Mr. Dunn was foreman on the Newhall ranch in Santa Barbara and later became a foreman on the Jolon ranch. At one time, he managed the Andrew J. Molera estate in the Salinas Valley, was a foreman of the San Carlos rancho in the Carmel Valley and had been affiliated with the John Somavia ranch in the Pacheco Pass and the Lansdale cattle ranch in the San Joaquin Valley.


Mr. Dunn was a native of San Luis Obispo.


Funeral services will be held from Struve and Laporte's Monday at 2 p.m. Interment will be in the Garden of Memories.
