FATHER OF C E DRAKE DIES WED.

Mr Drake was called to Joplin, because of the death of his father Coleman Drake, who passed away at his home in Joplin Wednesday afternoon. His parents were Lucinda Hawks & Elijah Drake. Surviving are children: Mrs. S R Cole, CE, & AV Drake.

Funeral services were held Friday afternoon at the Purdy Baptist Church. Rev RE Greenway of Joplin was in charge. Burial was made in the family lot beside the body of his wife who passed away years ago.

Mr. Drake accompanied the Rev & Mrs SR Cole of Ottumwa, & their children Mrs. George Montross & Rev B Cole to Joplin Thursday evening & returned Tuesday.

The following business men were represented by a beautiful floral offering; G.C. Chandler, T.J. McDonough, Elmer Heitshusen, Dale McCammon, L.C. Morrin, Robert Bowler, Merlyn Edwards, E.J. Von Hoene, Robert Hanson, James Driscoll, Tom Lillis, Jr., R.J. Wright, Ervin Schooley, Larry Roehrkasse, Jerry McCarty, Lloyd Conners, Bob Jones, L.J. Hogan, A.G. Sinclair, Martin Schroeder, & the staff of the Journal-Tribune.
