He was born Dec. 17, 1913, in Nuckolls County to Anton and Gertrude Anderson. He lived most of his life in and near Oak. He was a graduate of Ruskin High School.
At Denver he learned his carpentry skills. There he met and married Ruth Johnson in 1941.
During the war they lived in California where Ned worked in an air-craft factory. After the war they returned to Oak and raised their three sons.
A memorial service will be held Monday at Oak. A private
service for the interment of ashes at the Oak Cemetery will be at 11 a.m., followed by a friends and family luncheon at the Oak Church.
