Emma Elizabeth Stratton, wife of Parker Stratton, was born March 20, 1908, and departed this life on September 17, 1950 in her home near Putnam, Oklahoma.
She married Parker May 16, 1926 in Wheeler, Texas, to this union were born six children, two sons and four daughters. One infant daughter preceded her in death.
She leaves to mourn her passing, her husband, Parker; two sons, Alfred Stratton of the home, and Nelvis Stratton in the Navy stationed at Little Creek, V irginia; three daughters, Mae Janson of Sun City, Kansas, Ramonia and Iris of the home; her mother, Anna Shellenberger of Sun City, Kansas; her mother and father-in-law, Mr. & Mrs. B.J. Stratton of Fay, Oklahoma; two brothers, Henry Shellenberger of Pratt, Kansas and James Shellenberger of Sun City, Kansas; five sisters, Katherine Pester of Longdale, Oklahoma, Lahoma Warrington of Grand Junction, Colorado, Dorothy Brown, Opal Houchin, and Lorrean Keller all of Sun City, Kansas.
Services were held at Roseland Assembly of God with Brother Gelbert Ewing of Canton officiating. Graveside services were held at I.O.O.F.
