Sarah Frances Adams Cook Coffee was my great great great aunt. According to her brother James Monroe Adams (my great great grandfather), "Sallie" married Billie Cook on Nov. 8, 1882, within six weeks or so of Billie's first wife (Francis) passing away. James Monroe Adams described Billie Cook as a widower with three children and "a man of good business on the farm, and a good provider". He went on to say Billie Cook "had blood poison in his foot, amputated his leg and he never revived".
