Calvin Beaver, 79, of Lincoln, died at 11:40 p.m., Wednesday, August 2, 1988 at Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital.
Mr. Beaver was a retired farmer, machinist and blacksmith and was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Lincoln, Illinois.
He was born July 2, 1909 in Logan County, a son of Owen and Arabelle Wigginton Beaver. He married Edith Miller on May 19, 1939. She survives. Also surviving are two daughters, Sandy Morgan and Bonnie Hoy, both of Lincoln; one sister Dorothy Schmidt of Lincoln; and four grandchildren, Rodney, Randy, Rhonda and Rochelle Morgan, all of Lincoln. He was preceded in death by six brothers and one sister.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Zion Lutheran Church, Lincoln, with the Rev. William Adams officiating. Burial will be in Lucas Chapel Cemetery, Lincoln.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at Holland and Barry Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital Intensive Care Unit or to Zion Lutheran Church.
