Frances L. Painter

Frances L. Painter, 76, of Terre Haute, died at 8:45 a.m. Monday, February 17, in the Burlington Medical Center.
She was born May 26, 1915, near Terre Haute, to Chris and Winifred Louden Brandt.
She was married January 23, 1932, in Terre Haute, to Frederick J. Hunter. He preceded her in death July 18, 1961. She later married Roy Painter on November 30, 1962 in Terre Haute, He survives.
Other survivors include a son, James Hunter of Keokuk; two daughters, Joyce Roth of Keokuk and Laurena Hunter of Terre Haute; a stepson, Stephen Painter of Terre Haute; a step daughter Susan Vogel of Ft. Madison; seven grandchildren; and four step grandchildren; a brother, Lyle Brandt of Sun City, Arizona; and three sisters, Mrs. Ila Apt of LaHarpe, Mrs. Helen Myers of Mattoon, Illinois and Mrs. Alice Barron of Sun City, Arizona.
She was also preceded in death by two sons, a brother and her parents.
Mrs. Painter had attended grade school at South School and Terre Haute High School. She was an active member of Terre Haute United Methodist Church.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Banks and Beals Funeral Home in LaHarpe with Revs. Larry Hanson and Bruce Goettsche officiating.
Burial will be in Terre Haute Cemetery.
Visitation will be today at the funeral home with family meeting friends from 7 to 9 p.m.
A memorial has been established with Terre Haute Methodist Church Building fund.
