Earl R. Abbet

Manitowoc - Earl R. Abbet, age 72 of Manitowoc, passed away Monday morning February 28, 2022, at his home surrounded by his loving family.

Earl was born on February 14, 1950, in Two Rivers, son of the late Earl and Claribel (Jacquart) Abbet. He attended schools in Two Rivers and Manitowoc. On March 26, 1992, he married the former Donna J. Krueger in Manitowoc. Earl was a bus driver for the city of Manitowoc, retiring in 2017. He enjoyed working on cars, fishing, and going to the casino.

Survivors include his wife: Donna Abbet; his four children: Michelle (Joseph) Hitsman, Arnold (Nicole) Abbet, Louis (Abby) Abbet, Steven Abbet and his fiancée Jenny Yang all of Manitowoc; 13 grandchildren: Christina, Damian, Chad, Qianna, Nathan, Jersey, Brooklyn, Cicelia, Lily, Darian, Abigail, Chloe, and Brynn; one grand-dog: Luna; two sisters and one brother-in-law: Bonita "Bonnie" Strauss, Brenda (Jeff) McLaughlin; one brother and sister-in-law: Arnie Chynoweth, Terri Abbet; four brothers-in-law and three sisters-in-law: Dawn (Keith) Jolin, Cheryl (Eugene) Rauen, Jerome Krueger, Michael (Heather) Krueger, nieces, nephews other relatives and friends survive. He was preceded in death by his parents: Earl and Claribel Abbet; two brothers: Fred Chynoweth, Don Abbet; one sister and two brothers-in-law: Ramona "Mona" (Randy) Wagner, Jack Strauss; two nephews: Eric Wagner and Jim Abbet; one niece: Debbie Zima.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, March 4, 2022 at the Pfeffer Funeral Home, 928 S. 14th Street, Manitowoc. Deacon Alan Boeldt will officiate with cremation to follow. Relatives and friends may call at the Funeral Home on Thursday from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm and on Friday from 9:00 am until the time of service at 11:00 am.
