REIDSVILLE- Douglas Wray Cayton Sr., 68, of 901 Lawsonville Ave., died Saturday, January, 7 2006, at Annie Penn Hospital.

A graveside funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, January 9, 2006 at Danview Cemetery in Eden.

Mr. Cayton was a native of Rockingham County. He was the owner and operator of Cayton Towing Service for almost 50 years. He attended Piedmont Baptist Church and he loved car shows and traveling.

He was preceded in death by his daughter Robin "Bugger" Cayton, grandson Robbie Cayton, father Earl Sanford Cayton, sister Edna Cayton Fagg and brother Bobby Cayton.

He is survived by his wife, Faye Lovelace Cayton of the home; children, Wayne Cayton and wife Brenda of Ruffin, Robert Cayton and wife Ellen of Greensboro, Deborah Cayton Woodson and husband Raymond of Ruffin, Kenneth "Buck" Cayton and wife Carli of West Virginia, Mary Ellen Cayton Hull and husband Larry of Summerfield and Wanda Jean Cayton Hairston and husband James of Reidsville; step children, Frankie Harrison and wife Caroline, Ricky Garrett and wife Teresa and Kim Perdue and husband Marty all of Reidsville; 15 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; mother, Ellen Talbott Cayton of Eden; one niece; and special "best friend" Midnight Cayton.
