Mack Donald Swearengin was born Sept. 20, 1871. He was the son of William A. and Amanda A. Swearengin. He was United in marriage to Delila Bookout on March 8, 1900. To this union three children were born, Roscoe, Delbert and Earl. His wife Delila and son Earl preceded him in death. He is survived by two sons, Roscoe and Delbert, two grandchildren, Emogene and Geneve, his mother, Amanda Adaline, one sister Martha Trotter, four brothers, Uless, Joe, Noah and Luther. He was a lifelong resident of Douglas county. His life occupation was farming. He was 69 years, 1 month and 12 days old. He departed this life Nov. 1, 1940. Funeral services were conducted November 2, at 1:30 p.m. in the Union Chapel church by Brother J.B. Ansley of Springfield, with burial in Union Chapel cemetery under direction of T.B. Chaffin of Ozark.
