Nellie Ruth Lowery, oldest daughter of B. Frank and Clara I. Lowery, was born February 3, 1900, in Davenport, Nebr., and passed away Sept. 7, 1954, at the age of 54 years, 7 months and 4 days.

On June 14, 1914, she obeyed her Lord in baptism and was thus added to His church, where she remained a faithful member until her death.

On Febr. 28, 1921, she was united in marriage with Reuben Sanner at Geneva, Nebr. To this union were born two daughters, Lois Irene, who died in infancy, and Helen Lucille. They resided in Davenport two years and then moved to the present farm home west of Davenport.

She was a kind, patient and loving wife, mother and grandmother, and kept her cheerful disposition even through her long illness before her death.

She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. In addition to her infant daughter, she was preceded in death by a sister, Rose Marie, in 1932, and her mother in 1945.

Surviving are her husband, one daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Hogins, and two grandchildren, Sherilyn and David Hogins of Kearney, Nebr.; her father, B. Frank Lowery of Searcy, Ark.; three sisters, Ruby, Mrs. E. R. Stapleton of Searcy, Ark.; Lillian, Mrs. D. H. Sanner of Davenport; Florence, Mrs. J. E. Bartley of Little Rock, Ark., and one brother, Franklin Lowery of Levasy, Mo., and many other relatives and friends.

The services were held at the Church of Christ in Davenport, on Sept. 10, at 2:30 p.m., with Mr. C.W. Mersch officiating, assisted by Mr. W.W. Allen of Kearney.

Mrs. Raymond Thayer, Mrs. C.W. Mersch, Mr. Herb Davis of Superior and Mr. Homer Wolfe of Beatrice sang "Face to Face", "Does Jesus Care" and "Jesus, Savior, Pilot Me".

Pallbearers were Roy Hinds, Willard Hinds, Leslie Cameron, Harley Grone, Charles DeVore and Bruce Scroggin of Oak. Burial was in the Davenport Cemetery.
