Sarah Angelina, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Mackey was born at Fairfield, Iowa, May 3, 1854, and died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Chas. Cochran, in Davenport, on September 21, 1934, at the age of 80 years, 4 months and
18 days.

On February 3, 1870 she was, married to Jonathan Cox Mackey. To his union ten children were born two of whom died in infancy. Chester, a son, died in 1922.

The surviving children are: Merton of Hastings; Effie, Mrs. George Sien of Glenwood, Iowa; Anna, Mrs. John Minard of Lincoln; Jessie, Mrs. Platt Richardson of Stanford, Montana; Stella, Mrs. Chas. Cochran of Davenport; Bertha, Mrs. Glen Cochran of Grand Island, and Eva, Mrs. Chas. Shriner of Lincoln. All the surviving children except Jessie were at the funeral. Mr. Mackey died in 1902.

Mrs. Mackey and her family came to Nebraska over 46 years ago,and Davenport has been her home ever since, though she spent some time visiting her children in different parts of the country.

She united with the Church of Christ over 45 years ago, and has been a faithful and conscientious member ever since. During the past four years she has been badly afflicted and unable to attend services, but continued to maintain her; "rejoicing in hope; patience in
tribulation, and steadfastness in prayer".

Besides the children, she is survived by 27 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren, and other relatives and many friends.

Funeral services were conducted Sunday afternoon at ths Church of Christ by B. Frank Lowery, and her body laid to rest in the Davenport Cemetery.
