Harold was the son of Olin Eulis and Arrah Irene (McInroe) Elliott. He married Virginia Banks on July 10, 1959. Harold was a longtime resident of Graham where he farmed and ranched for many years. He was a veteran of the United States Merchant Marines serving in World War II.
Survivors include: wife, Virginia Elliott of Graham; children, Gary Elliott and wife, Teresa of Graham, Patsy Williams and husband, Terrell of Stephenville, Marsha Rittenbury and husband, Earl of Rendon, Martha Yoder and husband, David of Loving, and Marshall Cauthen and wife, Denise of Graham; sister, Dorothy McDaniel of Montgomery, Texas; grandchildren, Robin and Tim Williams of San Antonio, Tracy Read of Graham, Toni Elliott of Cleburne, Ken and Chris Rittenbury of Rendon, Dean Truesdale of Jerymn, Hope Roberts of Graham, Stacey Cauthen of Wichita Falls, and Lance Cauthen of Granbury; 12 great grandchildren.
Harold was preceded in death by grandsons, Casey Elliott in 1996 and Troy Cauthen in 2004.
