Jobie Gustine. Bowen Sr., age 81, of Georgesville, passed away Tuesday at Doctors West Hospital. was born November 16, 1916, Radcliff, Ohio.to Eli Gustine and Emma Jane (Hutchinson) Bowen.
Jobie retired from Fisher Cast Steel in West Jefferson and also worked for Bonney Floyd Steel Foundry in Columbus.; and was a member of the U.S.W.U.
He was preceded in death by 2 daughters Vivian Lee Bowen and Donna Jean Bowen, 3 sisters Mary, Elaine and Ruth.
Jobie is survived by his wife of 61 years, Frances Irene (Burns) Bowen; 4 children, Lucille Stewart of Mt. Sterling, Thea Rae (Whitie) Sykes of Columbus, Jobie D. (Christina) Bowen, Jr. of Georgesville and Nancy Jo (Dean) Mitchell of Logan; 15 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; 2 sisters, Cora Rea Haning of Columbus and Alice Smith of Ashville; 2 brothers, Bill Bowen of Wellston and Garnet (Geneva) Bowen of Columbus; numerous nieces and nephews.
