Earnest H. Coffman Sr., age 84, of Plainfield, passed away Sunday afternoon in his residence. Born June 19, 1933 in Wooster, OH, he was the son of Howard Coffman and Gladys (Musser) Coffman. He married Doris Marjean Cummings and she preceded him November 2, 2007. He had worked on airplanes in the Air Force during the Korean War. After that went to work as a press operator and in maintenance at GM in the auto division. Survivors includes 3 children, Brian E. Coffman and wife Michele, Plainfield, Earnest H. Coffman Jr. and wife Penny, Amo, and Sandra J. Creek, Clayton; grandchildren, Loretta Bushong and husband Brian, Crawfordsville, Alisha Willard and husband Sam, Avon, Jeremy Coffman, Amo, Johnathon Coffman, WI, Adam Coffman, Plainfield, Sara Trivett and husband Chris, Plainfield, and James Creek, Clayton; 5 great grandchildren, Jenna and Lily Bushong, Alexis and Daniel Willard, and Lilliana Coffman; a sister Betty Pater, WY; and several nieces and nephews. His parents and wife preceded him. Visitation will be Thursday from 4 to 8 pm in the Bousley Funeral Home in Coatesville. Graveside services will be Friday at 10 am in the Cloverdale Cemetery in Cloverdale, IN.
