JIMMY LEE NAPIER, of Clayton passed away on Friday, February 6, 1998 at his residence, at the age of 47 years. He was born on March 25, 1950 to Lonnie and Vallie {Huddleston} Napier in McAlester. Napier was married to Sharon Stone on October 2, 1973 in White House, Tennessee. Napier was a musician and piano teacher who was for a while associated with gospel groups. The Sego Brothers and Naomi, and the Plainsmen Quartet. He was a member of the American Federation of Musicians, Nashville Chapter, and a member of the Baptist faith.

Surviving relatives include wife, Sharon Napier, daughter, Jill Napier, step-son, John Van Meter and step-daughter, Lynn Beth Stone, all of Nashville, Tennessee; three nieces, Connie Spear. Carol Brase, and Stephanie Brase; nephews, Andy Napier, Adam, Clay, and Jamie Spear; Matt and Austin Brase, all of Wichita, Kansas; and cousins, Don, Dale, and Doug Huddleston of Clayton and Buffalo Valley.

Napier was preceded in death by his parents, Lonnie and Vallie Napier, and his brother, Easmon Napier in 1980. Funeral services took place on Tuesday, February 10 at 2 p.m. in the Lighthouse Cathedral, with Rev. Phillip Sharp and Rev. Jim Collier officiating. Serving as pallbearers were, Edward Eden, Clinton Farmer, John Harris, Felbert James, John Van Meter, and Tom Lightfoot.
