MRS. TRELLA MAYBELLE {SATTERFIELD} JAMES, 91, of Clayton, Oklahoma passed away September 7, 2003 at Poteau, Oklahoma. She was born December 24, 1911 in Albion, Oklahoma to Bill and Maggie Lee Satterfield.
She married Otha William James in 1928 at McAlester, Oklahoma. She was a housewife, who loved to quilt and had lived in the Clayton area since 1938.
She is survived by four children: Roy James of Talihina, Oklahoma; Betty Holstead of Mountain View, Oklahoma; Faye Johnson of Clayton, Oklahoma; Felbert James of Clayton, Oklahoma; 15 grandchildren: Brenda, Paulette, Chris, Lisa, Patricia and husband, Randy, Curtis, Jeanette, Debbie, Phyllis, Phil, Jon, Matthew, Joshua, Micah, and Will; 18 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, two sisters, two brothers, two nieces, one nephew, one grandson, and two great-granddaughters.
Pallbearers were Grandsons. Honorary pallbearers were Burt Satterfield, Joe Brown, and Jess Young. Services were held at the Sardis Community Building, Wednesday September 10, 2003 at 10:00 a.m. with Brother Chipper Hinda and Reverend Phillip Sharp officiating.
Interment followed at the A.L. Stephens Cemetery in Clayton, under the direction of Clayton Funeral Home, Clayton, Oklahoma.
