Reba Fay Dennis Cone was born in Coleman, Johnston, Oklahoma on 26 June 1927 to Carl and Mae Belle Williams Dennis. Her father was a farmer so Reba's early years were formed and molded by the structure of farm life.
As Reba was the oldest daughter and Mother's helper she developed a strong will and personality. Her brother Floyd remembers an incident from their childhood, where rather than give back his last nail she swallowed it, smiled at him, and said: YOU WON'T GET IT NOW.
Reba was a very hard working and resourceful woman. At an early age she learned there was little time for frivolous activities. For example she learned to count in the evening playing games after all chores were done.
She was a member of the Baptist Church. In the months prior to her death she confided to her siblings that she was ready to meet the Lord.
She is survived by her son, Alfred Dennis of Clayton, her daughter Debra Narez of Noble, Oklahoma. Six grand-children and 12 great grandchildren. Brothers: Floyd Dennis of Anadarko, R.C. Dennis of Pittsburg, TX. Sisters: Sisters: Wynona Robinson of Sinton, Texas, Sylvia Spuhler of Durant, Oklahoma and JoAnn Tubbs of Fort Worth, Texas, and numerous nieces and nephews.
She will be remembered as a loving Mother, Grand Mother and Sister. She will be missed..
