Betty Joyce "Silver Flower" Hattaway, 67, of Milton, died Wednesday, March 29, 2000, at a local hospital.

Mrs. Hattaway was from the Santa Rosa Creek Indian Clan. She was a member of the Wind Clan and the United Daughters of the Confederacy, the Florida-town Baptist Church and a devoted wife, loving mother and friend.

Survivors include her husband, William E. Hattaway of Milton; two daughters, Patricia Wariner of Milton and Gloria Hughes of Middleburg. Fla.; two sons, Frank Brandenburg of Pensacola and Bill Brandenburg of Pace; six step-children; 26 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; one sister, Bunny Meadows of Pensacola: one brother, David Cain of Pensacola; and a host of other relatives.

Services will be 2 p.m. Friday, March 31, 2000 at Floridatown Baptist Church with the Rev. Joe Dubose.

Burial will be in Milton Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be the Escambia County Road Prisoner Honor Guard.

Honorary pallbearers will be Larry Day, Dave Rogers, Ed Williams, C.L. Ellis and Tom Nichols.

LEWIS FUNERAL HOME, 6405 Hwy 90 W., Milton, FL 32570, is in charge of arrangements.
