Mrs. Hines was the oldest living graduate of Perrysville High School. She lived in Gessie for many years. She made her home with her daughter for 32 years in Covington, moving to Kentwood, MI last week. She was a member of Schaeffer Camp #9601, Royal Neighbors of America. She attended First Baptist Church. It was important to her to provide a good home for her family. She enjoyed sewing and seeing countryside on long trips with her daughter.
Survivors include: a daughter, Carmen Abernathey of Kentwood, MI; granddaughter, Mrs. Michael (Waynette) Brandt, 'Wyoming, MI and a great grandchild, Carter Michael Brandt of Wyoming, MI.
Services will be Nov. 15 at 11 a.m. at the Shelby Funeral Home in Covington with the Rev. Glenn Ray, Sr. and Rev. David Greene officiating. Services will be concluded with burial at Lower Mound Cemetery, Covington, Indiana." – Wabash valley Reporter, November 15, 1990
