"Leva N. Yarrington, 91, Topeka, formerly of Kansas City, died Friday at the home. She was born in Texas County, near Licking, Mo., and lived in this area for 56 years before she moved to Topeka in 1986. Mrs. Yarrington was active in the Parent-Teacher Association in Kansas City. She was a member of the Westport United Methodist Church. Her husband, Victor Wayne Yarrington, died in 1969. She leaves three sons, Victor Yarrington of Topeka, Milton Yarrington of Kitty Hawk, N.C., and Gary Yarrington of Austin, Texas; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Mount Moriah Cemetery." The Kansas City Star, February 15, 1987
