Lemuel Carroll "Buck" Lord passed away peacefully on Friday, November 17, at age 100. He was preceded in death by his wife of 70 years, Frankie Lord; daughter Rebecca Asel; an infant son Darrel Lord; four sisters; and two brothers.


He is survived by daughter Debra Garrett and husband Jerry; four granddaughters: Jessica Asel, Emily Asel-Coker, Kelly Garrett, and Abby Landreth and husband Scott; and eight great-grandchildren: Hunter and Houston Franks, Sophie, Will, and Luke Coker, and Leighton, Mclayne, and Teaghan Landreth. 



A man of few words, Buck led by example. A proud Navy SeaBee and veteran of World War II, he was a man of wisdom, knowledge, faith, and integrity. God - Family - Country: His life was lived in service to these.


A visitation for Lemuel will be held Monday, December 11, 2023, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at First Baptist Church at The Fields, 1401 Carrollton Pkwy, Carrollton, TX 75010. A funeral service will occur Monday, December 11, 2023 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM, 1401 Carrollton Pkwy, Carrollton, TX 75010. A committal service will occur Monday, December 11, 2023 from 2:30 PM to 3:00 PM at Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery, 2000 Mountain Creek Pkwy, Dallas, TX 75211. -



In lieu of flowers, contributions in Lemuel's memory may be made to Honor Flight DFW , 2201 Long Prairie Rd., Suite 107, PMB 376, Flower Mound, Texas 75022
