Margaret Manning --had at least 12 children with Josie-- they were illiterate---he was a sawyer and farmer-- he received a disability pension from the Civil War-- confusion on death date- grave stone says Nov 22, 1898-- Death date is December 2, 1897 per Death Registration (#328) Mooers, NY.
He served in the Civil War- at Age, 44 years he Enlisted at Plattsburgh, to serve one year, and mustered in as private, Co. E, 124th Infantry, September 15, 1864; mustered out with company, June 3, 1865, near Washington, D.C.
