She was born Oct. 22, 1908, in Brady, Tex., the daughter of Joseph and Mary Sexton Barker. She and William Samuel Lay were married Oct. 30, 1927, in Okemah, Okla. He died Dec. 30, 1961. She was a member of Parker Memorial Holiness Church.
Survivors include five sons, Billy, James, Daniel, Jerry and Kenny Lay; seven daughters, Charlene Farmer, Dorothy McMillen, Deloris Bush, Norma Smith, Glenda Birdsong, Violet Guthrie and Margaret Lay; three brothers, Fred, Roy and Emmett Barker; two sisters, Violet Graham and Tina Allen; 43 grandchildren, 78 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a daughter and two sons.
Funeral service will be Friday at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel. Burial will be in the Garden of Memories Cemetery.
