Phyllis Marie Brower was born September 12,1941 at Sioux Falls to William and Helen (Snyder) Johnson. She graduated from Brandon High School in 1959. She married Gordon Brower July 15, 1960 in Brandon. She was employed at Saterlee Drug, Dick's Body Shop, Parts World and Talbot Carlson Incoporated in Mitchell. She was a member of First Lutheran Church in Mitchell. Phyllis was an outdoor enthusiast and particularly enjoyed camping with her family, watching buffalo and other wildlife in the Black Hills. She also liked ceramics and painting. She is survived by her husband, Gordy, three sons: Gordy Jr. and his wife Robyn Brower, Brandon, SD; Gregg and his wife Jody Brower, Mitchell, SD; Garry and his wife Angie Brower, Esterville, IA; one daugher: Christy and her husband Bryce Norwick, Mitchell, SD; her parents: William and Helen Johnson, Brandon, SD; her mother-in-law, Ella Brower, Sioux Falls, SD; one brother: Bill Johnson, Sioux Falls, SD: two sisters: Terry and her husband Roger Brandt, Sioux Falls, SD; Pat Alexander, Sioux Falls, SD; three brother-in-laws: Larry and Karen Brower, Sioux Falls, SD; Kenny and Vickie Brower, Bollingbrook, IL; Ronny and Dianne Brower, Sioux Falls, SD; six grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
