Karen Buhler Gurr of Victorville, CA, peacefully passed away at home surrounded by loved ones, on May 20, 2023, at the age of 80. Karen married the love of her life James Norman Gurr in the Salt Lake City Temple on August 9, 1960, shortly after graduating from Jordan High School. They were together for over 62 years until Jim passed away this February. Karen is survived by her six children Jaren, Kimberly, Richard, Elizabeth, Fredrick, and Jesse, along with their spouses, 26 Grandchildren, 6 Great Grandchildren, her sister-in-law Patricia Gurr and 5 of her 6 siblings. Karen was the epitome of service and love. She was a great wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, friend and confidant. Karen is preceded in death by her loving husband Jim, her parents Roscoe Buhler and DeLores Chapman and her brother, Ross.
Join us for a funeral service on Wednesday, June 7th, 2023, from 11:00am to 12:00pm, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints Chapel, 12100 Ridgecrest Road, Victorville, CA 92395. A viewing will be held at 10:30am at the church prior to the funeral. The Gravesite Ceremony and burial will be at 1:30pm at Sunset Hills Memorial Park, 2400 Waalew Road, Apple Valley, CA 92307.
