In the 1880 Census, Albert is shown living with his grandparents and his mother on his grandparent's farm in Salt Creek Township, Franklin County, IN. His mother was using the name Bachmann as his last name. Sometime later, Albert began using his father's last name of Gloshen.
Albert married Luare Hill either late 1909 or early 1910
Albert married a lady named Lillie on Jan 8, 1952. Her maiden name is not known at this time.
In 1918, Albert completed a Draft Registration card. He and his wife (Luare) were living at 236 Leeds St., Indianapolis, IN. Albert listed his occupation as a cement finisher, with himself as the proprietor of the business.
His descriptiom is as follows, "Height: Medium; Build: Slender; Color of Eyes: Blue; Color of Hair: Black."
In 1942, Albert completed a Draft Registration card for WWII. At that time he was living and doing business at 716 Third Street, Shelbyville, Shelby County, IN. He listed a Sadie M. Gloshen, at the same address, as a person who would always know his address. This was his wife before Lillie. They married in 1940.
Albert died at the age of 83 years. His wife was the informant. Albert's death certificate lists his occupation as a retired general contractor. He was still living at 716 Third St., in Shelbyville, IN at the time of his death. Albert died of a coronary occlusion.
Albert Gloshen was buried on December 6, 1961 at Temple Hill Mausoleum in Shelbyville, IN.
NOTE: I received an "Problem" notification when I requested a photo of Albert's marker at Temple Hill. Evidentally the place doesn't list him as being buried there. The man I talked to at Temple Hill said that he would try and go into the Mausoleum and look for Albert, thinking maybe the records are wrong and he is indeed there. Unfortunately, after about 3 months, I haven't heard back from the gentleman.
Update: a member of Find A Grave, "jwright" was able to find Albert and Jennie Gloshen's burial locations and take pictures of the stones for us. Thank you!
