The Funeral of Mrs Jennie Bernardo 70, Widow of Dominick Bernardo,and daughter of the late; Joseph Morano and, Anna-Bonus. Viewing will be held tomorrow morning at 9 o'clock from her home, 1004 Widel Avenue, Elsmere, with requiem mass at 9:30 o'clock in Corpus Christi Church. Interment will be in Cathedral Cemetery. Mrs Bernardo died Friday night October 27, 1950 in Wilmington General Hospital. Born in Italy, she had been a resident of this city of 61 Years. Surviving are seven children: Mrs Pauline Verucci, Mrs Mary Laurenxi, Mrs Fay Lagowski, Mrs Josphine Aceto, Mrs Anna Sakowski, and Alexander Sabbato and Alfred Sabbato; 27 Grandchildren,and Eight Great GrandChildren. Her first husband was Filippo Sabbato, and they got married on 1895 @ St Ann's Catholic Church-Gilpin Ave. Filippo passed away 1924. Dominick & Jennie Resided @ 806 Edgemoore. along with following listed family members. Rose, Anna, Joseph, Alexander, Alfred. She Immigrated to the U.S. in 1890. and was a housekeeper. Dominick was employed as a Store keeper/Lunch Room.
