James Skelley of Cicero Dies Last Sunday
James Skelley, for a number of years a farmer in Milan township and later a resident of this city, died last Sunday at his home at 1421 South Fifty-Seventh street, Cicero, according to word reaching relatives here. Mr. Skelley was a brother of the late Thomas Skelley of this city, whose death occurred recently.
James Skelley was born in Chicago on October 22, 1853. For over 30 years he farmed in Milan township, later moving to Malta where the family resided for a few years before coming to DeKalb to live. In this city the family lived at the corner of North Fifth and Short streets, leaving here about four years ago to reside in Cicero.
Mr. Skelley is survived by his widow, one daughter, Mrs. Anna Freeman of Malta, one son, Chester, living at home and two sisters and one brother, Michael Skelley and Mrs. Julia Mills of this city and Mrs. M Fleming of Chicago, in addition to a number of friends here.
Funeral services will be held tomorrow morning at 9:30 o'clock from the home in Cicero, and at 10:00 o'clock from the church.
