Carolyn Louise Muehlbauer, 88, of Evansville, passed away on Wednesday, February 21, 2024 at Holiday Healthcare. Carolyn was born on January 1, 1936 in Evansville to the late George L. and Bessie (Rasure) Acuff.
Carolyn was a homemaker and also worked at Bockelman's Restaurant for many years. She enjoyed spending time with her family on Kentucky Lake and Lake Barkley, taking pictures of wildlife, shopping, playing Bingo and making wreaths for others.
Surviving Carolyn are a daughter, Karen Louise (Dave) Conia; sons, Kenan Lee (Pam) Muehlbauer and Stephen Lester (Peggy) Muehlbauer; grandchildren, Stephanie Bittner, Benjamin Balbach, Joshua Balbach, Jonathan Muehlbauer, Tara Tuley and Nichole Brinkmann and thirteen great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Carolyn was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Donald L. Muehlbauer in December of 2023; by a sister, Barbara Myers and by three brothers, Alvin, Marvin and George Acuff.
Funeral services for Carolyn will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday, February 26, 2024. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family from 10:00 AM until service time on Monday
