Funeral services for Mr. H. Morrison Brawley, who died at his home on North Academy Street in Mooresville Thursday night at 11 o'clock, were held from his home Friday afternoon at 3 o'clock, The service was conducted by Mr. Brawley's pastor. Rev, J. W. Moore, of the First Methodist church, Mooresville, and interment followed in the family plot in Willow Valley cemetery. Mr. Brawley, who was 64 years old. was a native of Iredell county and spent all his life in this county, except for nine years in California. He had been employed with the Mooresville Furniture Company the past thirty, years. Mr. Brawley married Mrs. Johnsie Duckworth Brown 12 years ago. Surviving are his wife; a stepdaughter, Miss Minnie Laura Brown, and two stepsons, Messr. Harry and Kenneth Brown, all of Mooresville. Mr. Harry Brown is employed with the Bunch Funeral Home, of Statesville and Mooresville. Mr. Brawley is also survived by a sister, Mrs. J. M. Gudger, of Mooresville. Pallbearers at the service Friday afternoon were Messrs. J. W. Neel, Rankin Allison, W. W. Williamson, Herbert Troutman, P. G. McCoy, and L. C. Boyd.
