The funeral for William Edward Campbell, 80, of Athens was at 2 p.m. Monday at Spry Funeral Home with Dwight Raburn, Frankie Murphy and Anthony Anderson officiating. Burial was in Oneal Cemetery.
Mr. Campbell died Saturday, April 26, 2008, at Limestone Health Facility.
He was a member of New Oakland Baptist Church. He retired from Sealy Mattress Co.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruby Lee Campbell.
He is survived by two sisters, Margie Hardiman and husband Walter of Athens, and Ruth Babcock of Hardinsburg, Ky.; three brothers, James Campbell of Athens, Frank Campbell and wife Pat of Morgantown, N.C., and Carl Campbell and wife Joyce of Earl Park, Ind.; and several nieces and nephews.
Son of Gus Burrell Campbell and Dovie L. Campbell.
