NAOMI RUTH BYRD, 74, died Wednesday at Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne. Born in Davenport, Iowa, she had lived in Churubusco since 1942. She was a former employee of Churubusco Post Office and retired as a bookkeeper from Bherns Oil Co., Churubusco, after 10 years. Her husband, Wayne B., died in 1971. Surviving are two daughters, Torchia Fry of Churubusco and Georgia Schenher of LaOtto; a son, Bradley P. of Churubusco; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandsons. Services at 1 p.m. Saturday at Sheets Funeral Home, Churubusco. Calling from 6 to 9 p.. today. Burial in Christian Chapel Cemetery, Merriam. Memorials to Alzheimer's Disease and Related Disorders Association.
