Although it was not unexpected, the death of Henry Clay Callison, which occurred Tuesday morning, was a shock to the people of the country. All his life has been spent in this country and his influence for good was always felt. Mr. Callison had the courage to stand for what he considered was right and was ever in upbuilding the morals of the town. For many years he was a member of the City
Council which gave him a good opportunity for carrying on his work of reform. Mr. Callison was a member of the school board and the children always looked to him as their friend.

Henry Clay Callison, a son of Mr. and Mrs. John Collison, was born March 12, 1858, on the Callison homestead near Powersville. He was married to Harriet McLain, who died several years ago. He was later married to Miss Jessie Ruth, who survives him. There are five children living. They are Leonard, of Mount Bullion, Calif., Lloyd of Cut Bank, Mont., Mrs. Frank Eganhoff of Clearing House, Calif., Frank of Sunnyslope, Alberta, Canada, and George of Collins, Mont. Lloyd and George have arrived to attend the funeral and Frank and Mrs. Eganhoff have started, but it is not known just when they will arrive. Two sisters, Miss Mary Callison of this city, and Mrs. C.W. Reynolds of Powersville also survive. ---from Unionville, Missouri, newspaper.
