"Is Known Here —The many friends of Miss Agnes Daw of Chicago, formerly of Elk Rapids, and well known in this city, will regret to learn of her death in Ypsilanti Thursday. Miss Daw was in Ypsilanti to attend the graduation exercises of her niece, Miss Marjorie Daw, and was killed by an automobile. Further details of the accident are unknown. The body will be brought to this city tonight and taken to Elk Rapids for burial. She leaves one sister, Mrs. L. M. Whittemore of Fife Lake, and one sister-in-law, Mrs. John Daw of Elk Rapids." -- Traverse City Record Eagle newspaper, 28 March 1924.
