Mrs. Coleman was born May 8: 1880, in Benzie county, daughter of the late Charles and Emma Pettis, and spent her early life there.
in 1898, she married William Coleman of Kewadin, and the couple settled on a farm in Torch Lake township where she spent her life.
She was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church.
Surviving are eight children: Charles and Aron Coleman of Kewadin, Mrs. Margaret Cerf of Lansing, Illinois, Mrs. Anna Banninger of Kewadin, Mrs. Catherine Rice and Mrs. Alta Nelson, both of Cadillac, Mrs. Alice Hubbell of Clinton, Michigan, and William Coleman of Muskegon.
She also leaves a sister, Mrs. Elvina Gray of Frankfort, 24 grand-Children, and 20 great-grandchildren.
