Jack R. DeBoer, son of Ada (Marvin) and Fredrick DeBoer passed away peacefully on December 5, 2023, at the age of 93. Jack was born in Detroit and moved to Chesterfield in his youth. He was drafted by the Army and fought in the Korean War. Back at home he met and married Doris DeBoer (Thompson) and had one daughter, Sandy Gier (DeBoer). They divorced and Jack married Ellen (Susie) Krusiewicz. He built a house on an island in Algonac where they lived until Ellen passed away and Jack moved to the Village of East Harbor. Jack was a builder by trade and held two public positions: a volunteer Chesterfield Police Officer, and Chesterfield Twp. Building Inspector. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and golf.

Jack is preceded by his wife Ellen (Susie) and brother Charles. He is survived by sisters Janet (Stockwell), Carole (Marcella) and Sheryl (Arkles).

A memorial service is planned for January 2024.
