Phoebe Katherine Andrews Therrien, 88 of Phoenix, AZ passed away on January 8, 2024, with her family by her side. Phoebe was born on April 18, 1935, in Evanston, IL to Phoebe Paul Foster and William Parrish Andrews. She lived in Glencoe, IL; Cincinnati, OH; Shaker Heights, OH; Albuquerque, NM; Scottsdale, Tucson, Mesa, Higley, Gilbert, and Phoenix, AZ. She moved from Shaker Heights to Scottsdale in 1949 for her father's health. She was the youngest of three children and graduated from Scottsdale High School in 1953. She attended the University of Arizona and graduated in 1957 with a Bachelor of Science in Textiles, Clothing, and Related Art. She was a member of Alpha Phi Fraternity. Her senior year, she met her husband, Dick Therrien at El Tanque Bar in Tucson and they were married a year later on August 31, 1957, in Pittsburgh, PA. They shared 66 wonderful years of marriage. They were blessed with four children, David, Melissa, Todd, and Jenny. Phoebe and Dick loved to travel and took many family vacations. Phoebe volunteered at the children's schools and both Boy and Girl Scouts from 1965-1990. She also volunteered with the American Heart Association planning many fundraising events. She loved teaching children's art classes and community education in both Albuquerque and Scottsdale. She worked as an assistant interior designer to Leionne Salter of The Arizona Studio in Tucson, Dick Finley Construction Company, and Stretch & Sew. She modeled at many fundraisers and fashion shows for several department stores and small shops for 20 years in Pittsburgh, Cleveland, Tucson, Phoenix, and Scottsdale. Her hobbies were decorative tole painting, quilting, fabric arts, musical theater and jigsaw puzzles. She was a graduate of the Victoria Mannikin School in Pittsburgh, PA. She designed and made her own clothes in high school and college. She loved and missed her Mountain Maidens, summers in Pinetop, AZ, and her square dance friends. Her favorite thing was spending time with her family and grandchildren.

Phoebe was preceded in death by her parents and her brothers John (Jack) Andrews (Phyllis Reed) and David Foster Andrews (Mary Hanna). Phoebe is survived by her husband, Richard of Phoenix, AZ, daughters Jenny Calcagno (Steve) of Cave Creek, AZ, Melissa of Los Alamos, NM, sons David and Todd (Irina) of Phoenix, and grandchildren, Carbon, Tesla (Alex), Tyler, Stefan, Riley, Emily, Kylie, Dylan, and great grandchild Magnus.

A Memorial Service will be held at Messinger Indian School Mortuary in Scottsdale, AZ on Saturday, February 10th at 1:00 pm.
