Phyllis Lorraine Scott, age 85, of Buffalo, Iowa, passed away on Wednesday, August 3, 2022, at Genesis East Medical Center, Davenport. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, August 10, 2022 at Bentley Funeral Home, Durant. A visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m., prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will take place in Rose Hill Cemetery in Buffalo, Iowa.
Phyllis was born on October 15, 1936, the daughter of Dale and Abulia (Springsteen) Rogers in Davenport. She married Cortez "Scotty" Scott on March 27, 1959 in Long Beach, California. Scotty died on December 21, 2014.
Phyllis worked at Sears Manufacturing in Davenport for many years. In her spare time, she enjoyed crocheting and needle point. Phyllis loved owls. Most of all, Phyllis cherished spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Phyllis will be lovingly remembered her two sons, Rick (Becky Meeks) Scott of Buffalo, Iowa and Randy (Missy) Scott of Des Moines, Iowa; three grandchildren, Ryan (Kara) Rank of Buffalo, Denae (Alex) Chacon of Buffalo, and Sarah Scott of Des Moines; three great grandchildren, Walker, Araylia and Rilyn; a special family member, Amanda (Heath) Wheeler of Eldridge, Iowa; one niece, Debbie Rissman of Eugene, Oregon; and her special friend, Deb Barrington of Buffalo.
Phyllis was preceded in death by her husband, Scotty; one son, Rodney Scott; and her sister, Florence Bunning.
