Barry L. Breakiron, 84, of Smithfield, passed away, Friday, February 9, 2024.
He was born February 17, 1939, in Smithfield, son of the late Jake Breakiron and Minnie Garletts Breakiron.
In addition to his parents, Barry was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Ann Breakiron; daughter, Sharon Myers; brothers, Raymond Breakiron and Ralph Breakiron; sisters: Mary Etta Upton, Laura Breakiron, Bertha Bilavosky and Edith Moser; and grandchild, Malorie Amanda Hummel.
Barry did maintenance and factory work in his early years and recently did outside maintenance for the Ferguson-Brownfield Funeral Home. He enjoyed bowling at Manor Lanes and doing yardwork. Barry was an all-around outdoor person.
Left to cherish Barry's memory are his daughters, Shirley Hummel and husband, Arthur of Quakertown and Debbie Breakiron of Telford; six grandchildren; caregiver and good friend, Sue Adams; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the FERGUSON-BROWNFIELD FUNERAL HOME, INC., 78 Main Street, Smithfield, where family and friends will be received from noon until 2 p.m. Saturday, February 17th, followed by a service celebrating Barry's life at 2 p.m. with Pastor Darrell Edgar officiating. Interment will be private.
